Oympia
The people came in large numbers all over the Greek world too come too support there team.The olympic games were in honour of Zeus (king of the gods).
In olympia you can still see the remains of some buildings from thousands of years ago.
The olympic games were more important then any wars because they were religous games.
Each cities in ancient Greece has their own goverment.
The games were held in a vally called Elis.
